Easter Special!!Bun-Bun Treats!
My rabbits love these! the snatch these out of my fingers the second the get a whiff, almost taking my fingers with them!
You'll need:
1 banana
2 bunches (2cups) of chopped cilantro
1/2 cup pineapple (crushed) NOT in syrup.
1 cup of oats
1 cup of rabbit pellets
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set oven to 325.
Blend oats and pellets in an electric food processor until it almost turns into a dust like form. Set in a medium sized bowl.
In the same food processor blend banana, cilantro, and pineapple until it forms a paste.
Combine the oats and pellets with the cilantro mixture until it forms a dough like consistency.
Spread the mixture onto the parchment paper, use a rolling pin or a glass cup to spread the mixture to a 1/2 inch thickness, you can use another piece of parchment paper for the rolling pin or glass so this mixture wont stick to it. Careful not to make the edges too thin or they will burn.
This will bake in the oven all day so don't forget about it!
use a pizza cutter and run it through the mixture to make about 2 inch sized treats. Once these have dried the cuts that have already been made will break off into individual pieces.
Set in oven for 2-4 hours
